Granada Diary #4

January 28, 2016

My group and I are headed to Madrid today, first stopping in Toledo and tomorrow visiting Segovia. I went to all three of these cities went I went to Spain in high school, but am excited to go back! I remember thinking they were beautiful. However, I've been loving Granada as much as ever. My host parents took me on a beautiful hike on Sunday.

At the Beach in Nerja

January 26, 2016

Yesterday, I posted about my trip to the Mediterranean coast of Spain, but didn't include my beach pictures. I wanted to share them separately! A group of friends and I spent the day on the beach in Nerja, and it was so beautiful...

Along Spain's Mediterranean Coast

January 25, 2016

One of the amazing things about studying abroad in Granada is that you are never more than 30 minutes from the coast of the Mediterranean. Last weekend, I got my first taste of the beautiful coastal towns when my host family took me to Almuñécar. This past weekend, though, a group of students from my school and I headed back down to explore a little more.

Granada Diary #3

January 24, 2016

Last week, we went on a tour of the Baroque district of Granada. I have wandered through this district several times on my own and with friends, and I continue to be amazed by all the beautiful buildings and streets that I come upon every time.

Granada Diary #2

January 20, 2016

After a few hours of orientation at school on Monday and a midday lunch with my host family, I ventured back into the historic Albayzín neighborhood with a group of students and a professor from our school here in Spain.

A Day in Almuñécar

January 18, 2016

On Sunday, my host family took me on a day trip to beautiful Almuñécar, a nearby town on Spain's Costa Tropical. I couldn't get enough of the endless Mediterranean charm and of course the incredible ocean views. I think I may have found heaven...

Granada Diary #1

Hola from Granada! It's my second full day here and I'm already in love with this city. I've spent the past 48 hours doing as much exploring as possible...

Today's the day! I'm off on a five month long adventure, studying abroad in Spain and traveling around Europe.

Day in Acadia

January 11, 2016

I'm leaving for Spain tomorrow, and knew that I wanted to do something to make the most of my last few days of Maine over the weekend! My parents agreed to head to beautiful Acadia National Park with me on Saturday, and I'm so glad we went.

Weekend Reading

January 8, 2016

I can't believe I'm leaving for Spain on Tuesday! I had a lot going on this week, not the least of which was preparing for 5+ months abroad. Hopefully I'll get everything together this weekend and will leave myself some time to relax!

Here are some links I liked the past few weeks...

I've been looking for a new way to document my monthly favorites and I think I've found it! I was inspired by one of my favorite blogs, Sincerely Kenz, to write a monthly post about what I'm currently watching, loving, eating, reading, etc. So here goes!

Visiting Friends Around New England

January 4, 2016

I spent the past few days driving all around New England visiting friends and saying goodbye before I leave for Spain. I had such a fun time!

Happy New Year!

A fun little bar set-up that I gave to my sister for her new apartment.

Instead of setting resolutions, I'm going to keep chipping away at my 101 in 1001 list that I made last New Years! I've been doing pretty well... I've checked off 28 items and I already know for sure that I'll accomplish others this year (like studying abroad in Spain, traveling with family, moving into an apartment, etc.)!

Here's to 2016!
